I was talking with Esmeralda recently, and I brought up a couple of examples of where Jesus talks about forgiveness, and particularly, their placement within the context where it was mentioned.

For some reason this just occurred to me as I was thinking about The Lord’s Prayer.

He mentions forgiveness immediately after he sayd ‘Give us this Day our Daily Bread’, and further mentions it after the Lord’s Prayer.

Two of the most famous, often quoted quotes from the Bible are The Lord’s Prayer, and parts from Mark 11.

Something i just noticed about them both is how immediately after Jesus offers prayers for asking for our needs or desires, He immediately talks about forgiveness afterwards.

In the Lord’s Prayer, here is what i am referring to, in Matthew 6:11-6:12:

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Then, after The Lord’s Prayer, Jesus continues on with this point:

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Then there is something similar in Mark 11:24-11:26:

24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

It is interesting how this correlation seems to be made between asking for anything you desire, and your daily bread, which some say is basically the same thing, and then immediately recommending forgiveness.

So there must be a correlation between the two.

This also lead me to look into the definition, according to The Bible, or trespasses.

I found this from Matthew 5:21-5:26:

21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

I think there is a bit of a definition in there.

‘when you say I am, you are announcing the presence of the living God within you’
You are declaring yourself to be.
I am that I am.
the word THAT indicates, that which you want to be, that which you’d like to be.
And the second I am, means the answered prayer. Achievement, fulfilment of your desire.
you feel yourself to be what you long to be.
Whatever you attach to I AM you become. Whatever you attach to I AM with feeling, with understanding, you will become that very thing.
I am in my true place. I am doing whart I love to do. I am divnely happy. I am divinely prospered.
I AM means awareness, being, life principle. Unconditioned consciousness.
take your attention from your problem, lack, limitation, focus your attention on your ideal, your goal, your objective, claim yourself to be what you long to be, rejoice and feel it, then, the old condition will pass away, then you will experience the joy of the answered prayer.

You’re saved from lack, limitations of all kinds, why? because you’re aware of the God presence within. And your capacity to contact it. When you call on it, it answers you. It will be with you in trouble, it will set you on high. Because you hath known its name. Its name is it’s nature., the way it works.

Your desire is a gift from God, realization is your savior.
* realization of your desire is your savior.

So the answer is always within you. And the saving consciousness is within you. Because God indwells you.

stand still and see the salvation of the lord, meaning, to quiet the wheels of your mind. Call upon this infinite intelligence which responds to you.

remain unmoved, live in the atmosphere of victory.
And victory will be yours
having seen the end, you have willed a means to the end. realize and know that all the power of God will flow to that focal point of attention

remember, I want to stress this: whatever you attach to I AM with feeling you become.

seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all things shall be added unto you. What does that mean? The kingdom of heaven or the Kingdom of God is within yourself, its your consciousness, its your awareness of being, its your mind, your thoughts, your imagination, the invisible part of you, your feelings, your beliefs.

Your state of consciousness is what you think and believe. What you feel, it is what you imagine yourself to be. Therefore, your state of consciousness is whatever you think, feel, believe, and give mental consent to. All these things are dramatized on the screen of space.
Your consciousness is the only God, they only creative power.
It’s your thought and feeling, which create your destiny

You first therefore go within, your own mind, your own consciousness, there you claim to be what you want to be.
And that spirit within will honor, validate, and execute it

Go within, shut the door to your senses, pray to your father which is in secret, and the father is the creative power, its the life principal within you
the thought and the manifestation are one arent they. Therefore thoughts are things, what you feel you attract, what you imagine you become.
therefore of course, whatever you want, you go to consciousness for it. thats the meaning of seek ye first, the kingdom of heaven, OMGGGGG
your concept of yourself determines your future.
whenever you say I am, remember you are announcing the presence of the living God, within you

Realize that you can now claim what you want to be, you can now claim to possess what you long to possess. You can now claim that you’re doing what you long to do. You can live in that mental attitude, which will gradually sink down by osmosis from your conscious to your subconscious.

It will gradually become a conviction as you nourish it and sustain it. Then your limitation will disintegrate.
Then you will rise from the ashes like the phoenix, because I must die to what I am before I can live to what I long to be.
And claim that the wholeness of God is flowing through you
Take your attention away from the multitude of reasons why you cant achieve something. And focus your attention on your ideal,. Nourish and sustain it.
And the answer will come. Keep on keeping on. and the day will break and all the shadows will flee away

This quote from the 46th Psalm crosses my mind from time to time, and I like to ponder its meaning.

On the surface, it seems to mean to remain calm, be at peace, in a meditative state, and just trust God.

But the more I dig in to different religious and spiritual ideas and study them, I ponder if the meaning of this is towards oneself, as in realizing how we are created in the image of God.

These two pieces of scripture add to this concept that crosses my mind:

John 10:34: Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

Psalm 82:6: I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

These make me wonder if this is an inward knowing, essentially saying to oneself ‘I am God’.

The more I ponder that, and study scripture etc., the more I lean towards that meaning of it, which I think would really change the meaning of it for many people, although at the same time, that is almost considered a radical concept in the mainstream, so maybe others do perceive that as the meaning, but also have the wisdom to keep it to themselves.

Anyways, I am glad we started this website, since I know this crosses my mind from time to time, and it will be nice to have this post here so I can look back on it.

I was trying to recollect one of the quotes from the OM meditation by Dr. Wayne Dyer, as he was quoting the 12 ways of realizing God by Meher Baba, and found it.

I may add some of the others, but this is the one that I was trying to recollect:

Selfless Service:

Have the quality of selfless service, unaffected by results, similar to that of the sun, which serves the world by shining on all of creation, on the grass in the field, on the birds in the air, on the beasts in the forest, on all mankind with its sinner and its saint, its rich and its poor, unconscious of their attitude towards it, then you will win God.

I looked it up, and on avatermeherbaba.org it is actually called ’12 Ways Of Realizing Me’.

  1. LONGING … If you experience that same longing and thirst for Union with Me as one who has been lying for days in the hot sun of the Sahara experiences the longing for water, then you will realize Me.
  2. PEACE OF MIND … If you have the peace of a frozen lake, then too, you will realize Me.
  3. HUMILITY … If you have the humility of the earth which can be molded into any shape, then you will know Me.
  4. DESPERATION … If you experience the desperation that causes a man to commit suicide and you feel that you cannot live without seeing Me, then you will see Me.
  5. FAITH … If you have the complete faith that Kalyan had for his Master, in believing it was night, although it was day, because his Master said so, then you will know Me.
  6. FIDELITY … If you have the fidelity that the breath has in giving you company, even without your constantly feeling it, till the end of your life, that both in happiness and in suffering gives you company and never turns against you, then you will know Me.
  7. CONTROL THROUGH LOVE … When your love for Me drives away your lust for the things of the senses, then you realize Me.
  8. SELFLESS SERVICE … If you have the quality of selfless service unaffected by results, similar to that of the sun which serves the world by shining on all creation, on the grass in the field, on the birds in the air, on the beasts in the forest, on all mankind with its sinner and its saint, its rich and its poor, unconscious of their attitude towards it, then you will win Me.
  9. RENUNCIATION … If you renounce for Me everything physical, mental and spiritual, then you have Me.
  10. OBEDIENCE … If your obedience is spontaneous, complete and natural as the light is to the eye or smell is to the nose, then you come to Me.
  11. SURRENDER … If your surrender to Me is as wholehearted as that of one, who, suffering from insomnia, surrenders to sudden sleep without fear of being lost, then you have Me.
  12. LOVE … If you have that love for Me that St. Francis had for Jesus, then not only will you realize Me, but you will please Me.

THE PATH OF LOVE, pp. 95-96

I wrote this down from a video and wanted to keep note of it:

Knowing there is a power greater than I am, I am placing complete confidence in it.

I believe that this power is now working in my life.

I believe that I am being guided by an intelligence that knows everything.

I believe that I am being guided by a love that tenderly cares for everyone.

I believe that there is a power, operating in my affairs, which is supreme.

Therefore I say to myself: There is no fear or doubt, nothing that can dim my vision, or mar the picture that I now make of myself, as being whole and happy and confident.

There is no discouragement from the past, and there is no fear that can mar the faith that I have today.

I know that my word, my own thinking right now, erases all negative pictures in my mind, and replaces them with confidence and expectancy, with faith and assurance.

I expect new and better things to happen.

I believe that I shall be surrounded by love, and by friendship.

This is the video where it’s from in Ernest Holmes’ own voice.

It starts at 11:58:

Today we started talking about an email that we received from Golden Key Ministry, titled Prosper.

Here was the message that Esmeralda forwarded me in an email:

Then we started having a convo about this excerpt’s meaning, and went on our usual tangents, talking about our understand of what this means, and we went into talking about the meaning of the phrase ‘Our Father’, and I was talking about how I was pondering Emmet Fox’s interpretation of this.

We then decided let’s create a website where we have these convos, so we can look back at them, and perhaps even inspire other people who come across our site 🙂

Me: More than ever it feels like they are all saying the same thing

Esmeralda: right? in all our years of study. it so does.

Me: its gotta be our own changes hearing stuff differently

Esmeralda: ya good point. here we are on a Sunday morning again, and not much has happened, like our specific manifestation.

Me: I wonder the best way to proceed from that. sometimes I think focus even more on it,
and also sometimes I think maybe be more general about prosperity and open to all sources

Esmeralda: and then its like, nowhere in the bible or anywhere else does it say we cant win. random people do it all the time wtf.

Me: it does say

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Ask, and it shall be given you.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Esmeralda: That’s pretty clear

Me: this full thing is really clear:

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Esmeralda: Um ya that is so clear

Me: I’m thinking about this, from the perspective of ‘your Father which is in Heaven’, as meaning the power in our minds:

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

We also were talking about the parallels between ideas in the Bible, in The Surmon On The Mount, along with the part of Mark 11 where Jesus says:

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

We were also contemplating the whole idea of being a child of God, which Emmet Fox goes into detail about in the first part of his interpretation of The Lord’s Prayer.

Esmeralda said this:

Our father who art in heaven (our imagination).

Thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven (our imagination)……

Thine is the kingdom (thine means us)

The key is inside us?

I then said:

that’s my interpretation

stuff in the bible takes on a different meaning from this perspective,
it even seems to make more sense

Then we talked some more:

Esmeralda: Way more sense! Thought of this in bed last night.

Me: I also keep pondering the meaning of ‘Our Father’, created in the image and likeness of God.

Esmeralda: Like our Creator?

Me: What that means about us.

How many character traits of being a human being do we share with our dad?

How many divine traits do we then share with God, Our Father In Heaven?

Parent –> offspring

A puppy isn’t the same as a tree. A puppy is as much a dog as his mother and father. A human is as much a human being as his mother and father.

Esmeralda: Our creator created everything. Not just a parent.

Me: What does it mean about us, if God is Our Father?

Esmeralda: That we can do anything. That’s how I take it.

So the holy Grail really is inside of us.

So how do we direct this energy

Me: Joseph Murphy says all the qualities, aspects, and attributes of God are within you

I was also drawn to this part, where he is talking about the phrase ‘Our Father’:

Note that this clause which fixes the nature of God at the same time fixes the nature of man, because if man is the offspring of God, he must partake of the nature of God, since the nature of the offspring is invariably similar to that of the parent. It is a cosmic law that like begets like.

It is not possible that a rosebush should produce lilies, or that a cow should give birth to a colt.

The offspring is and must be of the same nature as the parent; and so, since God is Divine Spirit, man must essentially be Divine Spirit too, whatever appearances may say to the contrary.

Then we spoke a little more about this idea:

Esmeralda: Wow! And ignore appearances

Me: I keep thinking about Our Father, as us being literally children of God.

We have every single human trait that our human dad has.

Puppies have every single dog trait that their dad has.

I was also drawn to the Napoleon Hill ideas, and was trying to remember exactly what he says, and found this video. I have listened to what he says a few times, in the first 10 minutes of the video:
